It's been a long time since I've heard anything released by my favorite twee-punk band, but now I'm kinda wishing they would've stayed out of the studio. While I was hoping for another jangle-pop gem like the delightful "Shook Down" or the sunny "Sunday," this single is more along the lines of the in your face "Operation," with its vulgar guitar solos and disgusting modern punk riffs. Apparently someone's been listening to the unholy trinity of Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, and (Gasp!) Blink-182. Please, Daniel Blumberg, release some more piano driven OUPA songs! Then maybe you'll regain your cred from my humble blog.
